The Shop app integration allows you to showcase your shoppable videos directly on the Shop app's home page, reaching millions of mobile shoppers.
Why It's Important
Expand Your Reach
The Shop app is a mobile shopping destination with millions of active users. By integrating your Instagram videos with the Shop app, you can:
- Reach new customers: Your videos appear on the Shop app home page, exposing your products to shoppers who may not have discovered your store otherwise
- Leverage social proof: Authentic UGC content featuring your products builds trust with potential customers
- Drive mobile conversions: The Shop app provides a seamless mobile shopping experience, making it easy for viewers to purchase products they see in your videos
Seamless Product Tagging
When you tag products in your videos using Storista, those same products are automatically linked in your Shop app videos. This means:
- No duplicate work - tag once, publish everywhere
- Products stay in sync when you update tags
- Removing products from a post automatically updates the Shop app video
How It Works
Video Synchronization
When you enable the Shop app integration, Storista automatically:
1. Identifies eligible videos: Finds all your vertical videos that have products tagged
2. Processes and uploads: Each video is processed, moderated, and uploaded to the Shop app
3. Links products: Your tagged products are mapped to their Shop app equivalents using Shopify product IDs
4. Keeps content in sync: When you update product tags on a video, the Shop app video is automatically updated
Video Status
Each video goes through several stages:
Status | Description |
Uploading | Video is being uploaded to the Shop app |
Processing | Shop app is processing the video |
Ready | Video is live and visible on the Shop app |
Error | Something went wrong during upload or processing |
Rejected | Video was rejected by Shop app moderation |
Content Moderation
Videos are automatically moderated before being uploaded to ensure they meet Shop app guidelines. If a video is flagged or rejected, you'll see the reason in your Storista dashboard.
