TikTok Shop integration

Learn how to use Storista to post shoppable content into TikTok

Connect your TikTok Shop account to Storista and publish shoppable videos featuring your products.

Overview

The TikTok Shop integration allows you to:

- Connect your TikTok Shop or TikTok Creator account

- Browse your TikTok Shop products

- Create shoppable videos by linking products to your existing video content

- Publish videos directly to TikTok with product tags

- Track the status of your published videos

Requirements

To use the TikTok Shop integration, you need:

- A TikTok Shop US account

- Video content already uploaded to Storista (from Instagram, TikTok, or manual uploads)

Connecting Your TikTok account

Before you connect: make sure you have logged in to the TikTok account linked to the TikTok Shop account as the primary account or marketing account.

  1. Navigate to the TikTok Shop integration page in your Storista dashboard (via Home Page or "Off-site" menu item)

  2. Click Connect TikTok Shop

  3. You'll be redirected to TikTok's authorization page

  4. Review the permissions requested:

    1. Access to your shop information

    2. Ability to create and manage videos

    3. Access to product catalog

  5. Click Authorize to grant access

  6. You'll be redirected back to Storista with your account connected

Import products

Once you have connected your account, you can start importing products.

Click "Import products" to view the available products for the connected account.

Select as many products as you want and click the "Import" button.

After you import products, they will appear in the list.

PRO Tip: You can import the same product multiple times and post different videos!

Publishing videos

Click on the product name to open the details page.

To post a video to TikTok, you need to select a video from the Library, add a caption, and a product anchor.

If you don't have videos yet, open the Library page from the sidebar and import videos from Instagram or upload files.

Video guidelines

Please read TikTok Community Guidelines and Content Policy before posting content to TikTok.

Technical requirements:

  1. The video should be at least 10 seconds long. Videos 30 seconds and longer are recommended for high performance.

  2. The video should be in vertical format.

Click on "Select video" and choose the desired video.

Caption and product anchor

Effective TikTok Shop captions should include a compelling hook, relevant hashtags, and a call to action to engage viewers and drive sales. You can also use popular phrases and trends, ensure your product's purchase information is clear, and include keywords to optimize your video's performance.

The product anchor should include the product name or CTA to buy. It will appear near a small orange icon with a shopping bag.


When you're ready to publish, save changes and click on "Publish to TikTok Shop"

Publish result

When you click on "Publish to TikTok Shop" we will start uploading video to TikTok. You will see the status on the product page.

It takes 2-3 minutes to be published, depending on a video file size.

When the video is uploaded, you will see a green badge and a link to the video.

If TikTok rejects the video, you will see "Rejected" status and reason. You can fix the issues and re-upload.

  1. Upload more videos for different products

  2. Upload more videos for the same product

  3. Connect another TikTok account and post videos to expand reach

Connecting to another account

Make sure you logged in to the correct TikTok account before connecting.

If you have another TikTok account connected to TikTok Shop, click "Connect to another account".

Disconnecting

You can disconnect the account inside the "Settings" page.
